1. Proclamation No. 483, s. 2003 declaring the period from October 18 to 24 , 2003 and
every year thereafter as “United Nations Week”. The United Nations' is celebrating its
75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with the theme “Equality,
Freedom, and Justice for All”. This celebration initiates the increase of knowledge among
the learners to be empowered by equality, secure their freedom, and ensure that justice
is served for everyone.

2. The celebration aims to:

a. fully implement Proclamation No. 483, s. 2003

b. to help our pupils understand and embrace the values of equality, freedom,
and justice for all, which are fundamental principles of the United Nations.

c. to foster an appreciation for diversity and unity among nations.

d. to learn and perform traditional dances from different countries during special
assemblies. This promotes cultural appreciation and unity among pupils.

e. to allow students to showcase their creativity and celebrate the rich cultural
heritage of nations.
3. In relation to this, there will be activities/contest related in this United Nations
Celebration. All teachers, pupils and parents are encouraged to participate in different
activities.
