It was raining. Gopal wa s shivering with
cold and starving with hunger. His eyes
were full of sleep. They showed his
tiredness. A man with an umbrella came
into the bus shelter where Gopal was
waiting for the rain to stop. When the
man saw Gopal, he said with gentleness,
"You can have my umbrella."
"But how do I return it ?" Gopal asked in
astonishment.
The man smiled and said, "You don't have to return it to me. It isn't mine.~

thanked the man for his kindness.
