● What activity did you participate in?

“A tour inside the home of the Boston Red Sox.” Basically a Video
Interviewing Charles Steinberg as he takes you around Various
Parts of Fenway Park explaining the significance of different
areas and historic landmarks located around the park, as well as
showing the sheer size of the arena.
● What did you learn about the city from participating in the
event?
1. The red sox did not win a World series for 86 years between
1918 and 2004.
2. Fenway is the Oldest Ballpark in major league Baseball
3. People travel from all over the world to come and see
fenway due to it’s historical significance
4. The green monster Is likely the most recognized and famous
feature of fenway Park
5. The green monster is a Massive green wall that stands in the
left field, and often proves difficult for players to Hit home
runs over
6. Within the Green monster there is a manual scoring system,
that requires a physical person inside of the wall to change
the scores mid game.
7. The Right Field Foul Pole is Known as the Pesky pole, as
player Johnny Pesky (who did not hit home runs often) Hit a
Home run only inches within the pole.
8. The left Field Foul Pole is Known as the Fisk pole, when
player Carlton Fisk Hit a walkoff home run off of the left field
pole, Winning the Red Sox the game.
9. On the right side of the stadium there is a singular red seat
in the audience, signifying the farthest Home Run ever hit
within the walls of Fenway park, over 500 feet from home
plate.
● What civic or social issues did you learn about during this
activity?
I learned most about the heart of Boston Sports, the
dedication of fans and the massive amounts of history that
Boston sports culture holds.

● What are other ways you plan on continuing to explore your


city?
1. Taking trips to sports games to get involved in the deep
culture that it’s associated with
2. Exploring further to other celebratory places and events to
gain a sense of the community and passion behind them
3. Use the direct access to Boston’s theater district to see
shows that either are on tour, produced locally, or have found
their pre-broadway run home in Boston.
4. Concerts, I want to be making music and celebration of
music a part of my life.
