1. How would you describe your


city?

Paris (nickname the "City of love") is


the capital city of France and the largest city in
France. The area is 105 square kilometers (41
square miles), and around 2.15 million people
live there. It is also considered as the center of
French economy, politics, traffic and culture.
Paris has many art museums and historical
buildings. In addition, Paris is the perfect romantic place and best destination for
lovebirds. With its rich history and culture, the city is a must-see destination for people
all over the world. The Eiffel Tower, a timeless icon of Paris and represents the National
Heritage of the French people for the past decades. Paris as the City of Love shows how
attractive the city is, and how it symbolizes love for all of the tourist couples around the
world and it is because of thousands of marriage proposal made under the beautiful tower
of Paris every year.

2. What is your city best known for?

The Paris Famous iconic sites and heavily


trafficked landmarks like "Eiffel Tower" and "The
Louvre". It is a beautiful and cultural city, a very
walkable, with great sights, and it has been a source of
inspiration for many writers, artists, and film makers.
The Eiffel tower it's height and unique silhouette
floating above the Paris landscape and it is one of the
most popular attractions, it drew attention and served
as the theatre for numerous events in the life of Paris
and France, the grandiose fireworks, national-level
events and large-scale sporting events. And also "The
Musèe de Louvre ( The Louvre) is the
former palace was the worlds most visited
and largest museum and houses that one of
the most impressive art collections in
history. And some of the worlds most
famous masterpiece painting and sculpture
are on display including "Mona Lisa by
Leonardo da Vinci and The Venus de Milo,
The Wedding at Cana by Paolo Veronese
and etc. In addition, Paris, France is best
known for its local destination, many
historic buildings and monuments, good
example for these are, Eiffel Tower, Lourve
Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral,
Montmartre, Swore River, Desneyland
Paris, French maracons and Paris vineyards.

3. What makes your city a global city?

Paris is considered as one of the global cities


because it has been one of the World's most visited place
for centuries. It is a beautiful place having unique and rich
culture, tourism, transport systems, serving delicious foods
and also it is a destination of world class shopping and
dynamic fashion. Paris is recognized throughout the world
as a center of creative excellence as it has interesting
museums and art galleries. Its economy grows as its
industry, agriculture and defense prospers
4. What are the challenges these cities are facing?

Paris France is the home of luxurious restaurants, hotels, passion brands and the
iconic Eiffel tower. Receiving roughly 200 million international visitors a year, France ranks
as a leading destination for international tourism. With this current situation of covid 19
pandemic, Paris France lowered its tourist visit rates for the pass 2 years. According to
dailysabah.com, The City of Light has seen between 3.6 million and 4.7 million visitors
between June and August, down from 10 million in 2019, before the coronavirus emerged
and wrecked international travel, according to tourism office figures. This low rates of
international visitors affected their economic sectors especially those businesses filled with
people before the pandemic.
Paris is a European city that is highly suffocating. Proof of it with a study conducted
by the famous scientific magazine, “The Lancet planetary health”. It says the French capital
is the fourth European city the air pollution is the deadliest. Every year, nitrogen dioxide
released by the considerable road traffic leads to the premature death of 2,575 people in
Paris, namely around 7% of mortality. France have main economic challenge that they
facing, the High Unemployment which means that the government's finances are weak. A
lagging competitiveness which is slow productivity and last the Sluggish growth which
means slow growth in economy.
