Nuclear Energy

Nuclear energy is released by a fusing together or a

splitting apart of atoms.
Chemical Energy

Chemical energy is stored in the bonds of atoms and

molecules and released during chemical reactions.
Elastic Energy

Elastic energy is stored in the bonds between atoms

when there is a strain on it.
Thermal Energy

It is the energy of moving or vibrating molecules

caused by a rise in temperature.
Sound Energy

Sound energy comes from vibrations moving through a substance,

such as a solid, liquid or gas. The energy moves in waves.
Light Energy

Light energy is a type of electromagnetic radiation.

It travels in waves and can be seen by the human eye.
Electrical Energy

Electrical energy is carried by electrons moving from one

atom to another in an electric conductor.
Gravitational Energy

Gravitational energy is the potential energy in an object because

of its high position compared to a lower position.
Potential Energy

Potential energy is the energy an object has stored because of its

position (electromagnetic, gravitational, etc.). Potential energy is
energy waiting to happen.
