Types of Energy

Thermal Energy
Thermal energy is when heat spreads to molecules and atoms causing them to
vibrate or move fast like if you touch a hot plate with your hands, the heat will
spread to your hand.
Radiant Energy
Radiant energy is energy caused by electromagnetic radiation. Some examples
of radiant energy are; light, x-ray and gamma ray.
Light Energy
In electromagnetic spectrum, we can see that light has the wavelength visible to
our eyes. Light energy is formed through the movement of photons. Light
energy is used to help us see. Example of light energies are candles and light
bulb.
Chemical Energy
Chemical energy can be found in our food, in a burning wood and also in
photosynthesis. Chemical energy is produced in the food that we eat. And that
energy keeps us warm, help us move and allows us to grow. Stored chemical
energy can be found also in a coal, biomass, and batteries.
Nuclear Energy
Nuclear energy comes from Nuclear of atoms. Nuclear energy released by
nuclear fusion or nuclear fission. Nuclear fusion is when the nuclei are fused
together while Nuclear fission is when the nuclei are split apart. We can find
nuclear energy from radioactive waste.
Electrical Energy
Electrical energy is the power an atom's charged particles have to cause an
action or move an object. The example can be found in the lighting or electrical
eels.
Gravitational Energy
Gravitational energy or gravitational potential energy is the potential energy a
massive object has in relation to another massive object due to gravity. The
examples of the gravitational energy is when we are riding rollercoaster.

Mechanical Energy
Mechanical energy is the energy that is possessed by an object due to its motion
or due to its position. Mechanical energy can be either kinetic energy (energy of
motion) or potential energy (stored energy of position). The example of the
energy is when we lift the ball.
