Remember:
Parallelism in writing concerns the similarity in structure between ideas and grammatical
form. Verb tenses should be consistent throughout the sentence. Please look at the words in
italicized and underlined format. Semicolon separates two main clauses that are closely
related to each other but could stand on their own as a sentence.
