WELCOME

Thank you for all of you who accepted this invitation. This is one important school
event for all of us and we are sure that it is going to be a wonderful time in order to
motivate our students in the English learning process.

We give special thanks to the principal, leaders, teachers, homeroom teachers, all the
parents, students and our participants for coming.

JUDGING PANEL

The judging panel will have three judges. the HEAD JUDGE is who pronounces all of
the words and answers questions or provides contextualized examples and also she/
he will ring a bell when the contestants misspell a given word. The other one is the
TIME KEEPER who is in charged to control the time. So, we can say that the role of
the judges is to determine whether the speller has spelt the word correctly.

It is also the judges' responsibility to keep time and approve the correct spelling of the
given words. All the spellers will have a total of 60 seconds; 30 seconds to think or ask
questions about the word and 30 seconds to spell each word.
The judges will not disqualify a speller for asking a question. However, the pronouncer
will not be liable to answer any questions after the first 30 seconds have passed.

If there is a question about pronunciation, the judges shall adjudicate. Any question
relating to the spelling of a word should be referred to the judges; however, the
pronouncer will indicate if the word spelt is right or wrong and announce the correct
spelling.
Score results will be given only at the end of each respective round and those spellers
who have the best scores are called to pass to the next round.

The students who have the same score will pass to the second round in which they will
have the opportunity to choose from a group of words that have the same number of
letters and the winner will be the participant who had spent less time pronouncing.

RULES:

 Be in complete silence.
 You shouldn’t spell the words while the participant is spelling.

 Stay on the chairs during the contest, the music video and award ceremony.

AWARD CEREMONY:

I invite all the participants to come to the stage and before announcing the winners, I
want to ask you a big clap for all of them. Now, they will receive a certificate.
After this, we will mention the winners:

Third place: will receive a candy and an Award plaque.

Second place: will receive a candy basket and an Award plaque

First place and the best speller will receive a big candy basket, a Gift card for an
English book 2019, and an Award plaque.
