ASSIGNMENT BRIEF AND QUESTIONS

Recently you are appointed as an HR manager in a Small Medium Enterprise (SME)


operating in the Information Technology Sector IT) in Cyprus. The SME is expanding
and the need for new positions is emerged.

In your new role, you will need to:

- Select one position of your choice, which must be relevant to the IT sector in
which the company operates.
- Design an effective campaign to attract and select talents from the local
market with high business ethics and professionalism as well as knowledge,
skills and abilities (KSAs) relevant to the chosen position.
- Design an effective induction-training for the talented employee you selected.

Task 1 (Value 30% - approx. 600 Words):

Conduct a job analysis, which will help you identifying the talented employees by determining
the duties of the position as well the characteristics of the ideal candidate.

Task 2 (Value 30% - approx. 700 Words):

Design an effective recruitment campaign based on the information that is provided in the
case above.

Topic 3 (Value 40% - approx. 1,000 Words):


- Recommend an effective selection process using proper tools and methodologies
for the selection of the appropriate candidate.
- Evaluate the selection process you propose using valid justifications.

Topic 4 (Value 40% - approx. 700 Words):


- Design an effective induction-training program for the selected talent.

The assignment should include an introductory section as well as effective


concluding remarks.
