My Eumind Re ec on- Ipsa

Amidst much uncertainty and hesita on, I chose to par cipate in Eumind however, as I look back I
cherish this journey deeply. As the interviewer of the group, Eumind helped me to open up and
interact with people which was something that I needed to work upon. It helped me build my social
skills as well as giving me the con dence to express myself. All this while I have had the support of
our excellent group leader, Ameiya, who guided me along the way. My topic for research ‘Youth
Facili es’ was a great way to explore the common
interests of not only the people that I am acquainted
with but also led me to discover the varied hobbies
and interests of people around the globe. As a part of
the Eumind process I created three di erent Padlets
all pertaining to Youth facili es. As a part of the rst
padlet I researched whether youth facili es cater to
all tastes and interests as not every child has similar
tastes and it is important for there to be a diverse
range of youth facili es so that a child can explore
his/her own interests. While making this padlet, I learnt while there may be a de cit of facili es
catering to hobbies such as skateboarding, mountaineering, ice hockey and water polo; there are
ample of facili es for the ar s cally inclined youth with there being ample gra walls throughout
the country and also an abundance of ins tutes training the youth in both contemporary and
modern art forms. For the second padlet I researched whether there is a speci c age need for
di erent youth facili es for di erent age groups. According to research, A child will be comfortable
with a child of his/her own age group, in such
case sharing becomes interes ng and
mo va ng. The hesita on of the child can be
removed when playing along with children of
same age. Thus, it is important that a child
has friends of his/her own age group.
However, I found out that there are a few
things that older and younger children can
enjoy together without any age barriers. Art
and music are a few things that are not
dependent on age and which younger and
older children enjoy doing together. For my
nal padlet I wrote about several di erent youth groups in India that are standing up for a cause. I
got to know about various groups such as the Indian Youth Climate Network, The Youth for Heritage
Founda on, The Model Youth Parliament Programs, The Na onal Cadet Corps and the World
Organisa on Of Youth and Students. This along
with the interviews I have taken of several
people associated with the youth in some way,
has given me a deeper understanding of the
topic. My experience from the interviews I have
conducted has taught me of how di erent
people have di erent opinions even though the
situa on is similar. To conclude, my journey with
Eumind has taught me and shaped me and I am
thankful to our team leader, Ameiya, our en re team, the teachers who have provided their valuable
guidance and lastly to all those who have kindly consented to be a part of this project, for makind
this journey so memorable.
