PROPOSAL FOR BLOGSPOT

Introduction
Blogs are informal articles written for the purpose of showing thought leadership and
expertise on a topic. Blogging can drive traffic. They are a medium that so seamlessly allows us
to blend text, image, sound, and video to communicate a message so thoroughly to a wide
audience. CPD (Continuous Professional Development Committee) team is proposing that we
should have a blog for the committee.

Problem Statement
Many notable medical universities have their own blogs and their blogs are read all over
the world. CPD needs different platforms and blogs are great way to enhance the reputation of
the committee.

Objectives
The CPD (continuous professional development committee) believes that blogs would be
a great way to engage the health sciences students and professionals as well.

1. The information we can disseminate through our blogs, we might not be able to do it in
any other way.
2. Our blog will also act as an E-newsletter.
3. The objective is to increase traffic on our social media by Blogs.

Plan of Action
To obtain the objectives mentioned above can be achieved by

1. First of all, creating a blog using the official email address of the CPDC
2. Then we need designated writers for it. The teachers and students both can be writers for
the blog. It would be ensured that the blogs are referenced and are evidence based.
3. The CPD team will collectively decide on the blogs domain and the theme.
4. As, it is just the start, the site BlogSpot will be used for this purpose.
5. The post will be mainly to spread information about any disease or to event advertise any
events.
6. The post can also be about our respected teachers to give a more personal insight on the
field of health sciences.

Conclusion
60% of people engage with blogs in some way. Of those, 39% are reading blogs up to
three times a week, 10% do so 4-6 times a week, while 11% read blogs on a daily basis. All in
all, it would be very helpful for the committee.
