Marketing Approach to Increase Student Enrollment

1. Need to utilize the social networking platform. Multiple Face book group pages can be
developed to convey relevant admission and scholarship related information. We can invite
our existing and ex students to join the group. Students can share their experiences over
there and encourage others to join. At the same time teachers can provide useful
information to current and future students using a common online networking platform. We
will invite our alumni to join as well. Sometimes a number of Zoom sessions can be
conducted using social networking platform like Face book, and we can answer common
queries.
2. Our webpage needs to be informative. We must place all academic and admission related
information to our official web page. We can also place some testimonials of our graduates
working for different reputed MNC’s like BAT, Reckitt Benckiser on the official web page of
our university. Since we are having a very nice campus, we can introduce a virtual 360
degree tour option on our official web page where a student can virtually visit our campus
through online. We can also post some video’s featuring our campus. It will help in creating
positive perceptions without being physically present to the campus. Considering this Covid
pandemic situation, a student will try to get enough information through online/web
platform. We need to use our web based sources properly for that.
3. It is important to develop some collaboration to local colleges and other educational
institutions. We can share some of our resources like Auditorium facilities to other local
educational institutions (having no such facilities), where a number of programs, seminars or
workshops can be arranged. We can invite students of different schools and colleges to visit
our campus in the form of picnic, where they can spend longer time in our campus. For that
we need to talk to the respective head and teachers of different educational institutions so
that they can arrange workshops, picnics more frequently in our campus and also encourage
their students to get admitted in near future.
4. We can use YouTube quite intelligently. Other than promo or longer version of
advertisements we can execute non skip able advertisement having durations around 5 to
10 second on YouTube. The short advertisement will be played before watching any videos.
5. It is also important to target different university admission facility providers or coaching
centres in Savar and other areas. Financial Rewards followed by referrals can be a good
approach.
6. We can also think about the application of scrolling news or breaking news ticker to attract
prospective students. Considering current situation, people spend a huge amount of time in
watching news on TV and using news ticker to provide relevant admission info can be a good
approach.
7. It’s advisable to go for newspaper based advertisements (front page) at least 3 times a year
before the beginning of each semester.
