How to do your Plan of Oral(Plan of Oral format)

The plan of oral, as the name suggests, is a paragraph telling CSEC how you are going to do your oral
presentation.

 YOUR ORAL PRESENTATION IS NOT TO GO INTO THE SBA, ONLY THE PLAN OF ORAL
 It is to be done in future tense. Eg. I will, I plan to, I would
 There is no word limit for this section but it has to be a paragraph long.
 NO ONE SHOULD HAVE THE SAME PLAN OF ORAL

What you will put in the plan of oral(This does should not be in this exact order however
you MUST have it in the plan of orals)

 You would start with where you will get the information for the oral presentation and what
information was it.(Just put what you had in your Plan of Investigation: I would collect two
articles and a script by searching websites, newspapers and textbooks. >but please paraphrase
it)
 Then you will state how would you apply the information from the artifacts to your oral
presentation. Eg. I plan to read each artifact a few times thoroughly and put the information I
learned into a monologue
 Next you will say how you expect the skit to be. Egs. I will ensure that my dialogue
understanding and enjoyable to give listeners the relevant information and make it come alive, I
will utilize standard English and denotative words
 Then you state how you will learn the script.
Here’s a few ways you can state so:
-I plan to, I will, I would…
-practice/perform in front of my peers, practice in front of my parents, audio record it, practice
in front of my classmates, practice in front of the mirror, practice in front of my family and
friends…
-and ask them to give relevant feedback in order to…, so that I can fix any mistakes…, to
become more comfortable with my ______.( oral presentation)
 Next you state what will do on the day of the presentation. Eg. I will announce my group’s topic
and my sub-topic then…
 Next, you will state what presentation skills you will use.
Here’s a list:
-good volume
-good pace
-confidence
-relevant gestures
-facial expression
- pronunciation
-clarity
-direct eye contact
You can choose a few from this list or choose your own skills.
NO ONE is to have the same Plan of Oral as another person, otherwise the ENTIRE class will FAIL.
Please ensure that you and someone else does not have the same Plan of Orals, Entry 1, Entry 2 and
Entry 3. The Only thing that is to be the same is the group report within groups.
