How To Capture Video from YouTube

One method of capturing YouTube videos is this:

1. Locate the youtube video you need. (e.g. http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=aMQFHuLGoMc)

2. Now replace the word 'youtube' in the URL with 'voobys'


(e.g. http://fr.voobys.com/watch?v=aMQFHuLGoMc)

This will take you to the Voobys download site:

3. Click 'DOWNLOAD VIDEO'

4. Save the file to disk.

The default filename of your download will be 'get_video':

5. Rename the file to 'filename.flv' (e.g. 'voobys.flv').


Note:
The .flv extension denotes
a Flash video file.

Your file will now be playable by any media player that supports playback of Flash video.

One popular player is 'VideoLan VLC media player':


Note:
VLC supports almost all media file
Freely downloadable at: http://www.videolan.org/ types and is available for Windows,
Mac & Linux.

You can also use RealPlayer to download many YouTube videos.


Or search Google and AltaVista to obtain clips in other ready-to-use formats (e.g. .avi, .mpg, .mov).
