Mark Your Calendars…March is GIRLS & SCIENCE Month!

Denver—(January 30, 2023) Join CBS Colorado, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Girls Inc of Metro Denver and
presenting sponsor PING Identity for the 9th Annual GIRLS & SCIENCE program which kicks off Friday, March 3, 2023 from
5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and runs virtually through March 31, 2023.

CBS Colorado Meteorologist Lauren Whitney hosts GIRLS & SCIENCE which offers online resources, video presentations
and activity kits for girls. Girls and their families will enjoy learning from women working in STEM fields (science,
technology, engineering and math) through a variety of presentations and online resources. A GIRLS & SCIENCE
Community Conversation will be streamed live on CBS News Colorado in mid-March. The live conversation will feature
female mentors who will share their experiences in STEM fields. Girls Inc. of Metro Denver’s youth participants will join
the conversation.

“We invite girls of all ages to be inspired by women in STEM through GIRLS & SCIENCE,” Director of Community and
Strategic Partnerships Elaine Torres said. “CBS Colorado is providing a month of virtual engagement and inspiration with
hands-on opportunities to explore science and learn from leading women working in scientific fields. It’s an opportunity
to motivate girls throughout Colorado to explore STEM careers and it all kicks off with a free, in-person, event at the
Denver Museum of Nature & Science with CBS Colorado Meteorologist Lauren Whitney.”

The event will include hands-on activities for girls as well as information on how girls can pursue STEM careers.
Throughout the month of March, girls can also watch streaming videos on CBS Colorado: Girls & Science Mentors from
