But even before we start learning


about Continuous form of the tenses, let us refresh by translating these Simple form
sentences.

Perfect form of the tenses
We are going to see the perfect form in all the three tenses. Try framing more by

Examples of the Perfect form:

Kanavar : Rathi, Inaikku virundhaaligal varaanga. Enna samaichi-irukke?


 Rathi, we have guests coming today. What have you cooked?

Rathi: Naan inaikku kozhi samaichi-irukken. /ten


I have cooked chicken, today

Pona murai, naan vaan kozhi samaichi-irundhen.


 Last time, I had cooked turkey.

Avangalukku enna pidikkum theriyale. 


I don’t know what they like.

Adhu enakku therinji irundhaa, adhai samaichi-iruppen. 


I would have cooked it, if I had known it.

 
Vijay, nee yerkanave indha soup suvachi-irukeeya? 
Vijay, have you tasted this soup earlier?

Aamaa. Enakku indha soup pidikkaadhu.


 Yes. I have and I don’t like it.

Neththu nee senju-irundhe kozhi soup irukka?


Do you have the chicken soup that you had made yesterday?

Idhu Kaai soup. Idhu unakku nalladhu.


This is a vegetable soup. It’s good for you.

Idhu kozhi soup-a irundhaal, nee idhai kudichi-iruppe, sariya. 


You would have had it, if it was chicken soup, right?

What has Rachel learnt from the morning?

Ava Aangila paadangal-a padichi-irukkaa. 


She has learnt her English lessons.

Ava thanoda kanakku thervukku nalla padichi-irundhaalaa?

Inaikku ava kanakku thervai eppadi ezhudhinaa? 


How did she write her Maths exam today?

Aduththa vaarathukule avaloda thervugal-a ezhudhi mudichi-iruppaa.

Now, he has dressed as a Superhero.

Magician dress kidachi-irundhaa, avan maaya-viththai kkaaran vesham pottu-


iruppan. 
If he had got a magician’s costume, he would have dresses up as a wizard.
