B. NARRATIVE OF THE ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED

ELLNA (Kinder to Grade 3) and Phil-iri Assessment (Grade 4-6)

The teachers of Caraniogan Elementary School with the supervision of the school head and
cooperation of the parents and stakeholders the Reading Month Celebrations was successfully
conducted.
The teachers from Kinder to grade 3 taught their pupils on the four skill of Phonemic
awareness and decoding word by word family and reading comprehension through: On-Line,giving
copies of reading materials then the parents/guardians guide their sons/daughters take pictures and
videos then send it to their group chat. Through this process the teachers were able to
monitored/assessed the reading level /abilities of their pupils.
Like wise, the teachers from Grade 4-6 were able to assessed the Oral reading and
comprehension,Fluency and speed reading of their pupils through On Line for those pupils who have
an internet connectivity,Home Visitation for the pupils who do not have and Phone calling. The
teachers also giving copies of reading materials then the parents/guardians guide their sons/daughters
take pictures and videos then send it to their group chat.
For those pupils assessed in the frustration level the teachers give remedial reading activities
within their level such as short stories/selections ,tongue twisters and chants and enrichment
activities to those in the Instructional and Independent level like giving stories and ask them to
summarize and identify the Elements of story using graphic organizers like Story Map or Story
Grammar.
