PLANNING FOR CRAMMING HANDOUT: RESOURCES AND TEACHING MATERIALS

Dear students,

It’s so nice to meet you!

My name’s Lucy, and I’m going to be your teacher on this intensive course. I’ve been
teaching English in Spain for 11 years, and have helped many students prepare for
the exams like the one you are going to be studying for. What I really love about
teaching these exam courses is seeing the massive improvement in the students’
skills and confidence.

So, now you know a bit about me, I’d like to know some things about you:

➢ How long have you been learning English?

➢ What do you like most and least about studying English?
➢ Why are you doing this intensive course?
➢ What will passing the exam help you to do?
➢ What skill(s) do you feel you need to work on most (reading, grammar and
vocabulary, listening, writing and/or speaking)?

Please write back to me telling me a bit about yourself and answering the questions
above.

I look forward to receiving your letter!

Best wishes,

Lucy
