According to the module, there is a high possibility that population growth could surpass the
production growth rate as population increases at a geometric rate while production
increases at an arithmetic rate. Thus, it would lead to scarcity of resources as demand is
higher than supply and more people would suffer in hunger since the economy can’t
anymore provide as much as the number of increase of population. On the contrary, it may
be helpful to the economy because human resources and human labor would also increase
which also increases production of goods and services. However, if uncontrolled, population
growth could result to poverty which drags down the economy of a country.

pollution leading people to buy distilled or mineral water. There is now a higher sea level as
greenhouse gases have increased resulting to also in the increase of global temperature
which could lead to the meltdowns of large chunks of ice bergs and could possibly cover
coastal regions. Moreover, there is now a change in climate in which there are instances
that sunny days are rained or opposite of it.
