What I have learned
When deciding on a research topic, there are guidelines that we must follow.
These are interest in subject matter, richness of available source or supporting
evidence, timeliness and relevance of the topic, limitations of the subject, and
personal resources. These guidelines must be considered for one to be able to
formulate a research topic that is timely and relevant at the time being. The
research topic must be simple and specific enough for us to accomplish it with
consideration of our limitations and within the given period of time. To attain
this, first we have to Focus on your track, strand or area of specialization. and
then Recall the specific area, lesson or issue in your respective field or strand
that has piqued or aroused your interest the most. After this, we must
Generate an unanswered question or an unresolved problem from your chosen
area or lesson to be followed by Assess the question or problem based on the
five guidelines stated above. To complete the procedure, we can now write a
research problem.

There are a lot of things that I considered prior to choosing my strand in
Senior High School. The main thing I regarded upon choosing is its linkage to
my chosen course in college. But before that I, first, have researched stuff
before signing in to a track. After a lot of considerations, I ended up taking a
strand that isn’t close to my heart but is close to the path I am about to take
for college.
