Dear Mom and Dad,

How are you doing? I hope you are doing just fine. I know that I have been away from you for only about
a year, but I already miss you like crazy. You do not have to worry though, because I am doing very well
here. I have been studying hard and been giving all the best I can in school, just like what you told me to.
I am very sure you will be surprised seeing how well and seriously I do academically. I like studying in
this school. The atmosphere is nice. The people are also nice. I even made some friends here, which was
an achievement for me since I used to find it hard making friends. Even so, it’s been kind of hard for me
managing alone in dormitory. You know, I am not good at cleaning, so my room is always super messy.
Thankfully, there is this cleaning lady who always is ready to help me cleaning my room. She reminds me
of you, mom. She is very kind and delicate.

Mom, I miss eating your food. I am so sorry I often didn’t finish the food you made. I am also very sorry
for often being rude to you and even shouting at you. Every night before I sleep, I always remember the
time when you used to read me a story before I felt asleep. I know it sounds so childish and silly, but
when I come home later, I want you to read me a story just like you did when I was a kid. Dad, I miss
hearing your jokes. I am so sorry for often sarcastically commenting on your jokes. I am also so sorry for
frequently being mad at you and calling you a useless father. You are not useless, dad. You have, in fact,
done everything for the family. You are the most selfless person I know in this world. It is just I was very
stupid not seeing it sooner.

Mom, dad, I am so sorry for taking you for granted. You both are the best parents one could ask. I am
very grateful for being your daughter. Your love, your advices, and everything else you gave me made
what I am today. And for that I am forever thankful to you. I promise I will not let you down, and I will
always love you forever. I really miss you so bad. I cannot wait to see you, hug you, and make more
memories with you.
