My religious perspective that I’m gonna use is the Taoist.

For me as a student, the response or reaction

of the Taoist to the controversial debate that Giorgio Agamben initiated would be appreciative in some
way because based on my perception about the belief of the Taoist, they always ensure their political
status and keep the respect for the respective subjects. They also make things the best possible way to
oversee and deal with what happening in a state. So for me, the Taoist is appreciating the debate of
what Giorgio Agamben is initiating. Giorgio Agamben states that the government wants proper hygiene
and to have a public safety on the state which is connected to what the Taoists believe.

But the first problem I saw in the debate that made by Giorgio Agamben is all about the fear about the
COVID-19 pandemic we are facing and also the problem on why the media mostly panic because of what
happens in the world so for me, the response or action of the Taoist in that problem is that first and
foremost, they will first ensure that the subjects are fine or any positive condition if not they will do
their job to be responsible on what the people need to prevent some misunderstandings and some
fights or something can break the trust from the government. Giorgio Agamben also states the
limitations of freedom which is pretty accurate for a government who cares for the people but for the
Taoist the limitations stated by Giorgio Agamben would be great in some way because it protects their
people and they will act as a down to earth people to everyone to sustain and to fight the pandemic that
the world is facing. But when it comes to our country here in the Philippines I think some of the
Government officials or maybe I should say most of the Government officials are behind on what the
Taoist political views because the Taoist has always the value of a down to earth but here in our country
only a few Government people or people who are the more successful people in the Government are
the opposite sides of the views of the Taoist. To be honest I would say to myself that I’m lucky when it
comes to this situation because more people need help as I need but the government not much give
some attention to that cases because they always think of their selves, not the whole country but for
their selves which is a sad overview that people need to accept here in the country but if the Taoist lives
here in the Philippines I would assure that these Taoist would be there helping people who in needs
even though their religion is not the same because religions are just our beliefs and there is nothing to
argue about it. Still there are a positive things happens that connected to the thoughts or concepts of
the Taoist in the Philippines during the pandemic that is what we called the Bayanihan and giving some
discipline to those who can’t follow the rules on what the government tells us to do even though they
makes some bad mistakes there are still times they has a good governance and they give people a
proper conduct so that people can help the government on facing the pandemic is such that some
people are losing hope on the process of what the government doing, we cannot blame the people
because everyone of them are fighting and doing their best to survive but still the process of what the
government is doing people get to upset which it means the trust of the people are falling apart so they
don’t have the will to trust on what is the plan so they really rely on their self and if they can help they
would be because at the end of the day people who has a down to earth value always win the heart of
the many.
