SMCC’S VMGO has helped me realize many things that are imperative in
our lives to succeed and to become a better person. The VMGO tells us initially, to
be loving and caring citizens and to show kindness and respect to others.
Furthermore, attitude first, knowledge second, whatever the situation,
circumstances, or events if you have a negative attitude you will not succeed. In
addition, being committed to what you are doing is a must and finally, we must
incorporate God in all things and have faith in him in order to achieve our goals in
life. The most important part of the SMCC’S VMGO that captures my heart is its
core values.
To become an ideal Michaelinian, one must instill into one’s life the core
values of the identity of a Michaelinian that is socially responsible, missionary of
Christian values, committed individual, and competent in their chosen field of
endeavor. It is of these core values that I can be guided in my path to further my
education and knowledge as well as to attain success in life. As a student in this
school, I pondered how to inculcate these core values in my life.
Being a socially responsible individual, I believe, is caring for others. It is
important to nourish a good relationship with other individuals to achieve our
academic goals and be aware of the issues that surround us so we are able to help.
Showing respect, care, love, and development of God's creations and upholding
social obligations at all times.
Missionary of great values, by being a communicator of righteous thoughts I
am able to promote the Christian values and communicate that individuals around
me have value to me by creating a positive environment. Our thoughts influence
our behavior therefore if our thoughts are righteous our actions will be good. It
teaches us to promote Christian values which is extremely important since it will
govern how students will treat one another and be of service to others. A Christian
education is priceless. Christianity positively influences our character, guide our
action and behavior, and maintains healthy well-being. It teaches us also how to be
a successful individual with a positive attitude toward everything. Attitude, skill,
and knowledge are important components that make a successful personality. Skill
and knowledge are something that can always be learned in classrooms but attitude
is something that is within and needs to be developed by an individual
himself/herself. Skills can be taught, but attitude can’t, it is the SMCC’s VMGO
that will make us a better person.
Committed individual, a person who processes the quality of commitment
should be very responsible and well-rounded. I believe I am a person who
represents this unique quality by processing patriotism, the ability to set goals and
achieve them. 
Competent in the chosen field of endeavor, one must have the necessary
resources. Have a strong will to become better. Have the necessary time. Don’t let
anyone or anything distract you from your goal. 
As a future educator, we are the symbol for transforming people into person-
oriented, value-oriented individuals, individuals of faith and love for God, and
individuals of compassion and mercy for others. By embodying these core values,
we are open to changing the world through our strength and kindness to others. As
we go forth to establishing those principles lays the groundwork for creating the
environment you desire. 
I can say that I am a true Michaelinian because I am a committed and
dedicated person. I've always believed that dedication and commitment are what
transfer dreams into realities.I went back to college to better myself and to give my
children a better life in the future, but the thing is that I imagined it would be a
piece of cake. To sum it up, it has been more stressful than I thought; there are
times that I feel that I want to give up because of the struggles of multi-tasking, but
despite the lack of time to manage to study and parent roles, I've committed myself
to work hard for my dreams. I do my very best to fulfill my duties as a mother and
student. Since school started, I've learned how to manage my time as a mother and
a student.
As a student and mother, the challenges I face daily require an immense
amount of patience and dedication. And I have to balance what I want with what I
need. I must focus on the work at hand, be dependable in any situation, and be
passionate about striving for my dreams. Being a committed person not only
applies to being a student but also to being a mother. Among the most challenging
would be scheduling, getting work or assignments done in time while
simultaneously taking care of my family and running my businesses. It is a
balancing act that not everyone can do, but as a committed and dedicated
individual that has gone through many hurdles in life, I can say that it has served
me well and helped me to move forward with my dreams without fear of what may
challenges comes. I can say that this journey of mine will not be easy, but I can
assure myself that my commitment and dedication will surely guide and help me
reach my goals.

fall into their place. Our love of the Lord will govern the claims for our affection,
the demands on our time, the interests we pursue, and the order of our priorities.
