Dear Madam,

Letter of Application for the Position of an English Language Tutor.

It is with deep sense of interest, I summit my application for the position of an English Language
Tutor in your established institution of learning; Bayelsa State School of Nursing and Basic Midwifery.

I am Francis Edwin Akpan, a graduate of English Language and Communication Studies (B.A. Double
Honours), and has concluded my compulsory National Service (NYSC) in Rivers State, serving as a
Classroom Teacher for the Senior Secondary School Classes. I have the requisite knowledge and
training to carry out my Class duties and any other assignments obligated to me. I have uninfringing
zest for teaching, work and impacting the younger generation as well as, being a model by shining
the light every little way. I am very perceptive and pay close attention to details. .

My experience during my service year with the Federal Road Safety Corps, as the Cadet in Chief, affor
ded me the knowledge of impacting knowledge, through regular engagement of Corp Members and
Students on Traffic Signs and regulatories. I also have served under the Nigeria Fellowship of Evangel
ical Students (NIFES) as the General Secretary in three years at different levels ad a Student. I also w
orked with Radio Nigeria, Creek 106.5fm Yenagoa with the Programmes Department as a Studio Man
ager, Presenter and voiced many broadcast materials and commercials. I believe that I have the skills
and training needed to fill this position, and I know that I can pass the background checks for this job.
I also have the physical stamina and strength to endure long hours on the job. I am fully prepared for
this job role.
