6. Why do you think the pre-medical students needs to dissect a frog? 

Frogs are frequently chosen for dissection because their bodies provide a comprehensive overview of
the organ systems of a complex living entity. While their bodies are not identical to those of humans,
there are many similarities.
Pre-medical students are asked to undertake dissections for a variety of reasons, many of which have to
do with comprehending the body and the larger environment. Students observe, touch, and explore the
many organs in the body while dissecting an animal. Seeing and comprehending these organs and how
they function inside a single species teaches students to grasp how these systems function within many
other animals, including humans. While there are some differences between humans and other animals,
many organ systems in sophisticated animals function similarly to those in humans.
