IBM is an American multinational that has a presence in more than 150 countries around

the world. The organization has been in the forefront in the development of both computer

hardware and software that have developed many sectors across the globe. The paper will

provide a structured explanation for the success of IBM.

Changing Technology

The changing technology has been an essential driver to the success of IBM. The

company has been in the forefront of not only creating but also implementing the advanced

technology with the aim of meeting the changing needs of its market. The falling barriers to trade

have enabled the organization to increase its presence across the world. The diversification of its

services has also been able to give it an upper hand against its competitors.

Corporate Social Responsibility

The organization has ensured that it fulfills its Corporate Social Responsibility towards

its employees and the people around the areas that it operates. The agency has invested heavily

towards training its employees in the changing technological environment. The company also

collaborates with many universities across the world to teach the graduates on the changing

technologies and other matters that affect the technical background. Team building has been the

central focus of IBM (Osicki & Smee, 2014). The company also implements all the labor laws in

the countries where they operate. The effort ensures that the employees are always satisfied, and

thus their output is improved. It also maintains a closed chain of supply of raw materials for its

manufacturing plants. That seeks to eliminate the abuse of human right from the source and to

ensure that the organization carries out a clean trade.
