Title: Firmware Upgrade Instructions

- If not already done, install the Firmware Upgrade Utility on the GSN in library 7750. This will install by
default in the C:\Download Tool folder. To start the application run the FWDLMgr.exe file from that folder.
- On some devices you might need to determine if the machine has the Postscript option installed. Select the
“Machine Configuration” button and scroll down the items to see if the Postscript option is available.
USB Procedure: Connect USB Cable (600T2231) between PWS and device USB port.
- Machine has to be manually put into the Download Mode: Power on the machine while holding the Power
Saver button.
- The download Mode screen will appear on the User Interface. A “Device Found” window will pop-up on your
PWS. Select Cancel on this pop-up, there are no USB drivers required.

Cross Over Procedure: Do not put the machine into the Download Mode. Connect Cross Over Cable
(600T2252) between PWS and Network port on the Printer PWB. You must change the TCP/IP settings on
your laptop to match the printer settings.
- To perform this, click on START -> SETTINGS -> NETWORK CONNECTIONS, right-click on LOCAL AREA CONNECTION and select
“Properties”.
- Double Click on” Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” (or click once and then click on properties).
- Select “Use the following IP Address” and enter a TCP/IP address for your laptop to use. Your address must be in the same range as the
printer, simply select one that is either one above or lower than the printer’s address. If the printer is 192.168.1.101, set your laptop to
192.168.1.102.
- Enter the same Subnet Mask as the printer. (no default Gateway)

Start the Firmware Download Tool: Double click on (found in C:\Download Tool)
Select Product

3.- Browse to the firmware file location (CD or 4.- Select the Firmware file, typically all Fuji

upgrade.

7.- (Network upgrade only) When the Printer 7a.- If you press the

to close the application.
