1. Creole Onion Soup

This is a traditional French dish adapted by the Creoles of New Orleans.

It is sometimes known as Looney soup.

Ingredients:

75 gr unsalted butter

6 large onions, peeled and sliced

Salt and pepper

1 tbsp brown sugar

600 ml beef stock

60 gr plain flour

2 tsp soy sauce

1 tbsp Worester sauce

6 slices of French bread

6 tsp grated cheese

Method:

(1) Melt butter slowly.

(2) Add sliced onion, a pinch of salt and pepper and the sugar.

(3) Cook on slow heat, stirring from time to time, until the onions have browned.

(4) Add beef stock and bring to a boil

(5) Sift the flour, stirring hard to avoid lumps.

(6) Add chicken stock.

(7) Simmer for 3-4 hours.

(8) Add sauces.

(9) Top each bowl with bread and cheese and place.

1. Saute onion, garlic, celery, and green pepper in hot oil and margarine about 3 minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté 3
more minutes.
2. Add soybean milk, black pepper, salt and potatoes. Bring mixture almost to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 25 minutes,
stirring occasionally.
3. Make about 6 cups. Thin with extra soybean milk if soup is too thick.
4. Garnish with parsley and serve with the veal.

2. A package of red fabric dye.
3. A 3-gallon enamel or stainless-steel container for the dye bath (plastic will get stained)
4. A 3-gallon container for hot water.
5. A cup of salt.
6. Rubber bands.

Steps:

1. Mix fabric dye and water according to package instructions.


2. Enhance the color by adding a cup of salt to the dye bath.
3. Lay T-shirt flat. Use rubber band after you pinch the t-shirt through both layers. (You can pinch around 2-inches of the t-

4. Make a donut shape by pushing your finger down through the rubber band. Repeat.
5. Immerse T-shirt in hot water, wring out the excess water, and then soak in dye bath.

on how deep a color you want.

Place the empty decanter onto the warming plate.

5. Plug the cord into the electrical outlet and turn your coffeemaker switch to the “ON” position. When the coffee stops flowing,
the brewing cycle is complete. NOTE: the warming plate will keep your coffee piping hot until you turn your coffeemaker off.

6. After contents have cooled, carefully remove the filter basket and discard the used grounds and paper filter or rinse clean the
permanent filter if you use it. Rinse the removable filter basket and replace.
