Str of acid exp:
when a strong acid, HCl neutralised sodium hydroxide, the higher the heat of neutralisation
OR the higher the temperature of the mixture
Heat of neutralisation is the temperature increase when HCl is poured into the beaker
containing NaOH and stirred.

BIG Assumption:
1) assume the specific heat capacity of (acid/alkali/salt) solution and water are the same.
2) assume the density of (acid/alkali/salt) solution and water are the same.
3) assume no heat loss to the surrounding.
Improvement: prepare a control group (an extra set up)

Definition of Heat of Neutralisation:
Heat change/release when an acid and alkali react to form 1 mol of water.
Untitled.notebook February 01, 2023
same heat of neutralisation because the same number of mole of water is produced
Untitled.notebook February 01, 2023
More heat is released more number of mole
when sulphuric acid is used because
of water is formed
heat of neutralisation is higher
