if you really have to use the abstract content, make sure to cite the
internet source. that means we need to provide the link where we
got the information. that's for bullet one in our text
bullet 2, i mentioned already. find the complete article
some sites require a registration fee. others only require a company
username. like for us instructors in ISU, we have a corporate email
provided by the university. we use isu.edu.ph. my corporate email
is joymarypaddayuman@isu.edu.ph. some sites require such and it
can open a lot of different sites
kaya nga finding researches and results online minsan mahirap talaga but if you know where to look, mas madali

even a quick search using google can bring out a lot of links and yet
finding a reliable source can be exhausting especially in terms of
research writing
who can help us find reliable sources? list above include teachers,
the library/librarians, and the date of publication
on top of the list are scholarly books and these of course can
be found in college/university libraries

bibliographies are also important in research. please refer to the three reasons found at the bottom part of the photo above.
one of the most challenging to read are scholarly articles. one reason is that it can be very technical and second, not everyone would spend
time reading such (except researchers, of course
scholarly articles are published in journals. and as such have to undergo scrutiny/reviewed before it can be published.
and scholarly articles are cited and used as references by other searchers. for a prolific researcher, he/she can become well known in
scholarly circles because he/she is cited by other scholars/researchers. but of course, it all depends on which field- engineering, sciences,
technology, language, linguistics, etc.
but of course,
1st hand or
primary sources
are always
better

how do we evaluate key sources? we need to look at the: title, abstract, opening paragraphs, topic sentence, closing paragraph, author
credits. Read an entire article only if a quick survey encourages you to further.
