1.What is your understanding of history?

 As we live always in the present, we need to seek knowledge about the past events and that is history.
Seeking knowledge through various mediums in inquiring of what happen in the past are really helpful
in managing decisions. As a matter of fact, history refers on every past events which gives a lesson for
future generations, as we may understand the reason behind the outcomes from the actions of people
back then that shapes the society at the present. Specifically, bible is an example of a history, some of
its content reveals how things going in the past which really helps people at the present in their decision
making. Although history are mostly done in writing which became a big part of literature but more
than that history is beyond what is written. That being said, history is an eye opener to every person who
understand it through the heart.

How is your view different from what is explained in this lesson?

 My point of view are more general in terms of the definition. However, it is not quite far compares to
what is given in the lesson. Well, about the specific difference, I would say the mentioning about the
concept that past stories will be relevant in future decision making.

2.As a student of history, what do you think will be your duties?

 I honestly believe that dependable interpretation could be a prior duty for studying history which is from
looking for the relevancy and detemining the authenticity could be the right way to achieve the desired
enlightenment.

3.Why is there a need to understand and realize the meaning and importance of our history?
 It is definitely with the aim of looking things at different views and learn the way how people back then
manage their secular government, beliefs, cultures, and even technology. In realising the importance of
history definitely make us more aware and adaptable in sudden shifts of things and managing systems. It
may be hard to adapt immediately but history educate us on the reason why we should gradually adapt
the changes.

What role does history take in the study of Philippine society, culture and identity.

Besides from the concept of understanding Filipinos, history is taking a role in society in terms of
preparing for living humanely in the present, it is a teacher in life that will educate us how we could possibly
do the challenges and deeply comprehend the wisdom of the past. In strengthening the culture, history also
has its integral role to develop the nationalism. In educating the young people what happens in the past will
awake them that the present which they are living is worth of hundred efforts and battles against the
challenges they faced back then. In formative years, identity as well could be affected because of the history,
improving the knowledge about history could shape and influence what we are today. Moreover, history is
like taking a step back to see what changes in society, culture and identity of the Philippines throughout the
years that are being remarkable.
Along with, history helps us to be creative in recreating or reimagining the events which adds
consciousness and admiration towards the history particularly in education, politics, branches of arts, and
science. For that reason, it provides the understanding of human condition in dealing with countless
situations.
