Conflict of Nations

How do I get my Roleplay Game Approved?

What the Staff are looking for:

Conflict of Nations doesn't allow private games, but serious community projects can be considered, on a
case per case basis.

A Serious Project is defined by having the following:

- Comprehensive and deep lore and backstage work from the organizers
- Serious and expanded rules providing an original experience within Conflict of Nations
- Mature and supervised player base
- Experienced Administrators supported by Staff
- Experienced Players from the community

1. We require the organizers to put effort in to their role-play to make it standout above
the rest. We aren't looking for a scenario or a game with win conditions being whoever
takes out the other players. You should be able to Role play your lore and be able to
sustain it for a fair amount of time at least 30 days if not longer. Role play games are
not meant to focus entirely on conquest and defeating the other players. If a player
seeks that kind of experience, regular CoN Games are generated every day that they
can take part in and enjoy.

2. The Rules governing your contemplated role-play should be well tailored and explained
in as much detail as to be understood by your target audience. They should help
provide organization to your role play role-play as well as an original experience to the
role-play itself.

3. Your target audience should be those players that are able follow the rules provided
and able to RP effectively within the lore that you establish for your game. Experienced
players will help increase the likelihood of success within your game. Players new to
role-play or those who fail to understand the rules of the game may either intentionally
or unintentionally derail your game through Lore-Breaking Actions or Violations of
your rule set. You should vet your players to weed out those that are known trouble
makers in your target community.

4. The Administrators of the role-play Game are expected to enforce the rule set of the
Game as well as Moderate the Channels in which the role-play takes place. Games are
not created in order to facilitate Wolfpacks or Private Games for a select group. Equal
enforcement of your rule set is paramount to the success of your role-play Game.
Administrators should be those that treat and deal with all issues in a professional
manner regardless of whom an enforcement action may be against. They should be
respected members of the community. Those known for intentionally causing issues or
attempting to derail other role-play games should be instantly disqualified to be an
Administrator. If Staff is aware of a known troublemaker that you include in your
Administrator list, your game will likely not be approved for creation or support.

5. Experienced role-players strengthen any game that they are involved in and also serve
to help teach, coach, and train those that may be new to the role-playing experience.
Having the most experienced players that you can within your role-play game increases
the probability of success for your game and the likelihood that your game will be
approved by Staff. Additionally, experienced players are often assigned to more
important nations within each role-play game due to the fact that they can be
depended upon to follow the rules, maintain realism and keeping with the established
game lore, and to work alongside the Administrative Team to facilitate a better role-
play experience for the community. A new player, with no previous experience, may not
be the best fit for certain nations which form the backbone of many role-play games.

So I have Applied for my Roleplay Game to be Created, now what?

Three things may happen :

1. Your Project is denied due to failing one of the items previously mentioned. We typically will not
go into detail concerning the shortcomings, but typically Games fall short due to various
reasons including "bad admins", "bad rules", "not enough work, "players known by the staff to be
troublemakers", or a combination of any of the aforementioned criteria. role-play game creation
is at the complete discretion of the Staff and is a privilege, not a right.

2. Your Project has merit and is well-constructed, but the Player proposing the game creation is
too junior, or not known to the Community/Staff as being reliable, or knowledgeable enough to
organize, coordinate, and sustain a Game like the one proposed. In this case, we will contact
you to encourage you to seek additional guidance and experience within one of the other
Approved role-play Games prior to submitting another Game proposal.

3. Your project meets the standards set out within this document and is considered to be
beneficial to the Game and to the role-play Community. You will be given a “Green-Light” and a
member of the Staff will be assigned to assist you. An official start date will be determined
alongside said Staff Member and support will be given as required for the duration of your
game.

Note: All role-play Projects are closely monitored and records of each submitted, approved, and denied
Games are maintained by Dorado Staff. Administrators who have demonstrated their ability to effectively
run events will be given preference in role-play Approvals, while Administrators/Players who have been
known troublemakers may be banned/forbidden from participating in RP Events at our discretion.
Dorado Staff are not obliged to remove, replace, or take enforcement actions on your behalf. It is wholly the
responsibility of the Staff-Approved Administrator to properly vet players and provide a quality role-play
Experience for the players involved. Should your game prove to be unsuccessful and not in accordance
with your proposed plan in your application, Dorado reserves the right to refuse opening games for you in
the future.

Once your project has been validated, this doesn't mean you have a free ride. Privileges can be revoked, and
if you do not hold to the standards you guaranteed in a way threatening users or the company, the project
may be canceled at anytime without notice.
