If we have to define this habit in a few words, we can say that working with and in synergy means working cooperatively. Beyond the position we hold in an organization, generating and promoting good interpersonal relationships is essential. In turn, for this, to establish good communication, and towards all levels, is key. The habit of synergy or interdependence, as it is also known, poses as a strategy, permanently generating healthy interpersonal relationships. What does healthy relationships mean in an organizational context? It means solid links, through which everyone seeks effectiveness and cooperation from others. Including this habit as part of the management strategy implies prioritizing certain guidelines. Here is a summary of the main ones:
Be proactive and take initiatives, even or especially in difficult situations.
Proactivity is an attitude that is easily contagious and which generates empathy. Sort to optimize. A concrete example may be to prepare in advance a meeting with the directors of the company. Arrive at said meeting with things clear, and taking the initiative, including following an agenda. Propose alternatives to differences. In the face of differences of opinion, proposals, it is always good to propose alternatives. Open the discussion stage, and even raise a healthy debate on these differences. This behavior naturally establishes an interdependence that can later be transferred to joint work plans. When this happens, a high degree of empathy is generated, and the work team directs its forces in a single direction. Spend time getting to know others. Without actually doing psychological analysis, it is important to learn to understand the other's responses. In this way, we and individually can react better.
