Student Mom; Demonstrating Resiliency in Times of Hardship

In our journey, learnings are everywhere, knowledge are offered in all

circumstances and wisdom can be gain constantly.The importance of education is as
importance of life.It is the blood of our existence.Education is the only way out,not only
in ignorance but most importantly in poverty.It gives us pride and dignity as a human
being.

As a student mom,my journey back to school is never easy.I am a literally

multi tasking mom, student in school,a member of various community organization,plus
Ummi and Abi at home of my five beautiful daughters,but my current situation never
hindery me to return back to school,it actually fuel my desires to make a difference and
create an impact to my society.It took me a lot of courage and strength to came out of
my comfort zone and be bold enough to face the challenges as a student.There comes a
time of fear and insecurities due to my age takes place but my eagerness and
determination to end up my misery and become my best version dominates the negative
thoughts.

My separation to the father of my children was one of the most tragic events in
my life yet breakthrough started to occur and being a solo parent for more than six
years had shaped and sharpened my resiliency.I have discovered my inner power and

decided to utilize it in a more beneficial way such as studying and involvement in the
community.

I have seen and experienced the disadvantage of not having a degree,we can
observe and feel the difference even in our own circle of friends and relatives.The
treatment with our professionals is far way better than in an ordinary individual.It
hurts but the reality is we give much respect to an educated person while less attention
with the poor ones.It motivates me to strive in my studies,and be an inspiration specially
with women who experienced separation or in a toxic relationship to stand for their
rights and be strong enough to get out of that situation.I believed resiliency occurs when
we are in our lowest moment in life,and the darkest part of our journey brings out the
excellent power within us.My experience alone is a manifestation of resiliency and it
proves the saying that" if there's a will, there's a way".Life itself teach us to be strong
and wise in dealing with all the challenges it has to offer.

That is why,education plays a vital role attain a good life,however let's not
aim for success rather let's strive for excellence in everything we do, because success
follows when we are excellent.Now is the time to promote the unity and
solidarity.Through learning and educating our youth as well as our people we can
ensure a brighter tomorrow towards the lasting peace and prosperity in our region.Let
us not forget the value of learnings in our life,more than just the title and the prestige
that it can give us,it should be our anchor to be a better person all the time and be a
lucrative individuals in our community.

Being a Bangsamoro learner,the call to education is very strong,to end up the

discrimination and mockery among our countrymen.We cannot deny the fact of how
we've been oppressed and belittle in our own homeland for the very reason that we are
a Bangsamoro.Despite the chaos both man-made and natural disasters such as,armed
conflicts and Bagyong Paeng,we demonstrated the true blood warriors because we were
able to rise above and go beyond our limits.

It is time to uplift and empower this generation and be the change in our
society.Our history itself reflects how resilient and excellent the Bangsamoro is.Its been

decades of struggling to right to self determination,from arm struggle to social
movement,we are undefeated and continuing the fight "To make the word of Allah,
Supreme" in our Bangsamoro Homeland.And education is a huge tool to bring it into
reality.With our knowledge and wisdom together with our determination and
perseverance we can make it happen.Let our intellectuality and resiliency be our
weapon and power to survive and thrive towards our dreams.
