ART APPRECIATION

1. What was your first reaction to this artwork?

The art is amazing in the first sight while it shows that he/she has interest in natural beauty of nature’s
godsent wonders terrains of earth.

2. Does your opinion about the artwork change the longer you look at it? Why?

None actually because he/she has an insight and projection on something beautiful in he/her own
ways.

1. Why is it important to know other languages and cultures?

It fosters an understanding of the interrelation of language and human nature. Foreign languages
expand one's view of the world, liberalize one's experiences, and make one more flexible and
tolerant.

2. How do the humanities help us imagine the future?

Through the work of humanities scholars, we learn about the values of different cultures, about what
goes into making a work of art, about how history is made. Their efforts preserve the great
accomplishments of the past, help us understand the world we live in, and give us tools to imagine
the future.

3. How do we determine, what is good for society?

A Good Society is what we strive for and we aim to build it around core values: Equality, Democracy
and Sustainability. Rather than being a specific vision, or end point, the Good Society is a framework
that enables us to evaluate political ideas and actions against our core values.

4. For you own idea/opinion, why we need to study humanities?

The humanities help us understand others through their languages, histories and cultures. The humanities
encourage us to think creatively. They teach us to reason about being human and to ask questions about our world.
The humanities develop informed and critical citizens. Without the humanities, democracy could not flourish. And
they reveal how people have tried to make moral, spiritual and intellectual sense of the world.
