It's because human population has grown exponentially over the past century. The
reason why humans have increased in population so rapidly and so successfully is
because we've sidestepped the two problems of food shortage and being knocked
over by disease.

LEARNING ACTIVITY 2 . Agree or Disagree?

1. Stabilizing or stopping the growth of population is not desirable because, without

more consumers, economic growth would stop.

I disagree with this! The unstable population is a main factor in the destabilization of
the economy, and if we keep growing as we are, then the economy will finally topple
over outright.

2.In our digital age, the world will never run out of resources because we can use
technology to find substitutes and to help us reduce resource waste

I think we can go a while with creative and innovative solutions, but at some point
we can run down on some irreplaceable resources and or the cost to replicate such
may be too high. There is a limit to how much crude oil we can access, oxygen from
trees/plants, ozone, dying but needed species like bees (pollination of plants), coal etc.
We produce too much CO2 and by reducing trees we cut down on O2 production.
Can we rely on nuclear energy? That’s what we thought in the 50’s, but it leaves spent
cores that cannot be disposed of safely with 100 rear radiation lethality.

Those are the followed environment laws that I follow in our house in the way of
segregating our garbage andputtingitintheright trashcan.Cleaning our backyard, and
fetch water and place it in Clean pouchand cover .Because I want to make sure that
our family is always safe and protect from any pollution.BecauseThe main job of
environmental law is to protect human health as well as the environment. It is all about
making balance.The role of the environment is to ensure that the practices used in the
environment do not cause harm to the environment ,human or animal health.
