Greetings of Peace!

We are the 3rd year BS Psychology students from Davao Doctors College Inc., and we are
conducting a Qualitative research study in our subject Social Psychology entitled "I am more
than my Color”: Understanding the Behavioral Intentions of Teenagers in accepting
one’s Skin Color". In relation to this, we will be conducting an in-depth interview to the
selected respondents who were chosen based on our inclusion criteria.

Moreover, the purpose of our research study is to identify and understand the effect of
behavioral intentions specifically among teenagers in accepting their own skin color. Also, this
study seeks to assess the effect of teenager’s perspective towards skin color to their behavioral
intentions. Lastly, this research aims to give insights to the future generations about the effects
of colorism on the acceptance of one’s skin color.

In connection, we are writing this letter to humbly ask for your consent as one of our
respondents in the said interview. We heartedly appreciate your permission and participation to
help us complete our study. Rest assured that all gathered information will not be used by the
researcher’s personal gains but to be kept with utmost confidentiality.
