ABSTRACT
This project is based on the experience acquired during my 12 weeks attachment at Universal Engineering
Limited. This report is divided into four sections portioned by chapters with detailed information on
different fields I was involved in during my attachment period, the first section covers introduction of the
Universal Engineering Limited electrical installation. The second section covers the numerous activities I
was involved in during the attachment period, third section covers the challenges faced recommendations
and conclusions the final section are the references.
 CHAPTER TWO
Introduction
Electrical installation, solar installation, photo cell installation, 3 phase panel installation, cctv
installation, arrestor installation.

This report highlights summary of work done, problems encountered and recommendation on how to
solve the problems
What is the purpose of the attachment
Attachment is the cope stone experience that provides student with hand on experience while working in
the field experience in a work setting ideally attachment will be able in terms to
Competence under educational integrate and use their knowledge and skill from the classroom.

Attachment prepares we as students for potential career related to the major therefore its is important that
we get hands on experience like the experience of paid professionals at the site.also, we should not be
considered substitute to fill of paid professionals at site from work. This is an applied education benefit
therefore is should be carefully structured to provide the greatest educational benefits.
What is required of the trainee
We are expected to always exhibit professional during the attachment experience this professional should
be evident in our interaction with diets coworker and supervisors. We are expected to apply our
knowledge skills and abilities to behave ethically and follow rules and policies of the site attachment is
required for graduation.

Chapter two

Attachment period
The attachment period lasted for three months that began on January and ended on April 2022
Objectives
The objectives of my field attachment were as follows
To enable students, get hands-on real-life experience they care expected to work in when they gratitude
To enhance and strengthen linkages between the university and various stake holders.
To develop students understanding of work ethics employments demand responsibilities and opportunities
To provide an opportunity for students’academic staff to interest with stake holders and potential
employers.

Benefits of attachment
The purpose is to produce practically oriented gratitude that meet the required job relatedcompany for the
future employers additional it required related serves as a linkage between university and various partners
who consume services and product of the university
Opportunity to relate with different people
Gain exposure to the demand and challenges of the work place
Gathering opportunity to access training facilities and resources that are not available at the class level
Interaction
The method was in practice to create interpersonal at workplace and to learn the process of interaction
among other members kin the organization channels of communication and chains of commands this is to
eradicate coach.

Safety in electrical installation work

Safety is the condition of being safe from undergoing of causing hurt injury or loss
Safety precautions when working with electricity
Always avoid water when working with electricity
Never use equipment with prayed cords damage insulation or broken plugs
If you are working on any receptable at your home the always turn the mains

As a trainee by the end of the attachment period was able to:

Being able to carryout wiring for a single room
Different connection of a photo cell
Being able to identify different circuit breakers lighting point and power points

CHAPTER 3
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
3.1 Recommendation
The department where the students is being attached should provide some allowance to boost cost of
living, the department should also run a schedule that will allow the trainee full access to what the
supervisor and the organization r able to control the organization reduce overcrowding in the
organization.

3.2 Conclusion
In conclusion despite a few set back it was a worthwhile experience at Universal Engineering Limited
opportunity to thank all the members in the department of electrical installation for giving and assistance
provided at work place the knowledge and competence gained will be useful in future job market that
acquired skills are relevant and in any work plane to department of electrical in installation
