Job Description
Manager / Senior Manager – PV Projects

JOB TITLE: MANAGER/SR MANAGER – PV PROJECTS REPORTS TO: HEAD OF STATE


1. JOB PURPOSE
 To effectively sell solar rooftop systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly SMEs
 To work effectively with existing customers (for referrals) and channel partners to identify leads,
organise site surveys, offer proposals, close the sale, collect documents for in-house credit (if credit
sale), and collect the money.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
 To sell rooftop solar systems to commercial and industrial customers, particularly targeting SMEs
 To inform customers of Our in-house credit option, and use this facility to close sales more quickly
 To ensure monthly targets are met for leads generated (site surveys), orders booked, sales invoiced,
and collections achieved
 To sell within the stipulated guidelines on money collection
 To work closely with head of state and marketing to organise awareness-raising events with industry
 To actively pursue all leads and ensure they are met and the CRM is updated in a timely fashion
 To organise site surveys and develop proposals in coordination with the in-house technical and
operations departments
 To personally conduct site visits to assess the technical feasibility of the product being offered
 To monitor that installations are proceeding on time, and to the customer’s satisfaction
 To ensure overall customer satisfaction with the working of the entire system
 To provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to the line manager as and when required
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
 5 years of B2B sales experience
 Ideally prior experience in selling PV systems
 A degree or diploma in electrical engineering
 A self-starter with fresh ideas, and lots of initiative
 A clear grasp of commercial issues, in addition to technical
 A team-player
 Able to travel at short notice
