1. Think of a problem affecting your organization or an organization you are


familiar with. Think of a problem that you think can be addressed by looking
at available data within the organization. Which of the three types of
analytics should you use? How can the type(s) of analytics help the
organization help solve the said problem? (25 points)
- The current problem that my business is facing right now is the returns of
sales from the customers. I have been struggling a lot with it lately and I
think I can handle it by providing access to my virtual agents the files or
spreadsheets of tracking numbers of every order so that the customers will
be notified and updated for their orders’ logistics to lessen the returns that
we are acquiring as of now. I think the best way to face this is through a
descriptive analystics where I can describe the cause of the problem and
can describe its effect as well.

2. Using an organization you are familiar with as an example, can you think
of scenarios where the three types of analytics can be used in finance? (25
points)
- I think the best scenario that all of the types of analytics will be usefulis
when financial frauds occur in the finance department of an organization. I
think these three analytics will be useful in determining the problem and its
culprit.

3. Using an organization you are familiar with as an example, can you think
of scenarios where the three types of analytics can be used in human
resources? (25 points)
- I think the best scenario I can think of is when the employees walk out of
their jobs in disbelief of the management. Predicting and describing the
level of employee satisfaction is also a great help for an organization and its
human resource.

4. Using your current organization as an example, can you think of


scenarios where the three types of analytics can be used in marketing (or
promotion)? (25 points)
-I think the best scenario that these three analytics will be helpful is when
marketing research occurs. I think describing the needs, predicting the
demands and providing adequate perception towards the data is very
relevant in marketing researches.
