What is weather and climate ?


Weather reflects short-term conditions of the atmosphere while climate is the average daily
weather for an extended period of time at a certain location. Weather can change from minute-to-
minute, hour-to-hour, day-to-day, and season-to-season. Climate describes what the weather is like
over a long period of time in a specific area. Different regions can have different climates.

The difference between the weather and the climate is:


Weather

Weather is day-to-day information of the changes in the atmospheric condition in any area.
The changes in the weather condition can be observed very frequently.
Weather forecasting is observed by the Meteorological Department
Weather is affected by temperature, pressure, humidity, cloudiness

Climate
Climate is statistical weather information that provides information about the average weather
condition of a particular place over a long period.
The changes in climate take a longer time to change.
Climatology is the scientific study of climate, which is described as the average of weather
conditions over time.
Atmospheric conditions at any location like humidity, temperature, the sunshine, wind, etc
are affected by climate
