Function
A function is a relation for which each value from the set the first elements
of the ordered pairs (domain) is associated with exactly one value from
the set of second elements of the ordered pair (co-domain).
Terms in Relation and 01 DOMAIN

Function Domain is all elements of the set in the origin.

Domain is the set which is the input of the function.
Example :

02 CO-DOMAIN

Co-domain is all elements of the set that includes

all the possible values of a given function.

05 RANGE

Domain : (1, 3, 5) Range is all elements of the actual output which we
Co-domain : (3, 5, 7, 9)
Range : (3, 5, 7) are supposed to get after we enter the
function’s domain.
Notation of Function

or
NOTE

All function are relations, but not all relations are function

This is because, in a function, every element of domain

must has pair in co-domain, and one element of domain can
connect to only one element of co-domain and not more than one,
while there is no such condition in a relation.

Types of Function

Invers Function
An inverse function is a Function that returns the original value for which a function
has given the output. If f(x) is a Function which gives output y, then the inverse
function of y Is f-1 will return the value x

There are 3 ways to determine the inverse function:

1. Change the form of y = f(x) to x = f(y)
2. Write x as f-1(y) so that f-1(y) = f(y)
3. Change variable y with x so that the formula of the inverse functions f-1(y) id
obtained.

The compositional function is a combination of operations over two
types of function f(x) and g(x) To produce a new function. Composition
function operations are also commonly denoted by the use of the letter
of symbol “o” which is read as composition or circle.
