recall the time when you went to watch a performance live, the hall with a sea of people
staring at the performance, the hall rumbling with each music played in the hall. tinted warm
orange lights with seats so soft that you sink in the chair as soon as you sat down. i believe
that day was truly an unforgettable experience.
in this essay, i will show how performance is better live.

when you watch a movie at home, you will grab popcorn or chips, some snacks to enjoy
while watching the movie

when you watch a gymnastic performance real life versus watching a recorded
gymnastic performance, it is more amazing to watch it live, right in front of your naked eye.
this is because, live performances will not be edited or doctored performances. watching
people do incredible feats right before your eyes could create an indescribable feeling of
admiration for the performer.

watching a recorded performance allows you to watch performances with computer

generated imagery(cgi) and edited. this is because when creating those shows, the producer
would edit the movie like adding special visual effects, redoing a scene to get the perfect
movement or add some animation into the movie. this allows the movie to be more
appealing as it can recreate stunts and actions that are hard to capture in a live
performance. for example, the famous taitenic movie. watching it recorded is certainly much
better then watching it live as the recorded movie allows the viewer to see the scene like
they are in the ship because of the aid of cgi. in addition, directors have the ability to make
the actors redo difficult scene like a crying scene which is hard to produce on the spot during
a live performance. henceforth, a recorded performance is much more ideal than those live.

live performance allows the actors to engage with the audience. for example, a stand up
comedy. stand up comedy would mostly be entertaining when it is live and the comedian can
joke around with the audience. it is harder to entertain the audience that did not watch live as
the actor need to make sure that the joke is relatable to the audience. in some live
performances, actors will engage the audience into the play to make the viewer feel more
interest to the show and absence of involvement in the show. another example is chrildens’
shows. some drama on recorded shows would even try to engage the children by asking
them about that decision should the actors make. the actors could only guess what the
children had answered and follow what the actors choose. unfortunately, for those
children that answer a different answer from the guess the actors made, would feel less
engaged in the show and might even feel upset. thus, live performances allows the
performers to engage with their viewers more easily.

drama on television is a cheaper source of entertainment compared to live shows. on a

television, you will be able to source a multitude of shows from different genres. this allows
all type of movie in on one screen. you can also watch types of movies that you have never
heard of as the shows on a television channel is randomised. for example, if you have
always watch famous blockbuster moves like the advenges, batman or disney movie, you
would hardly watch more local movies like ah boys to men or tiger mom. watching on a
television allows for more type of movies to watch both locally and internationally. moreover
watching on a television is mostly free as you will not need to pay to watch the program,
creating a free source of entertainment for those who are financially disadvantaged allowing
them to have the same fun as everyone.

in conclusion, watching live performance brings benefits like the unique atmosphere and
the engagement with the viewer for a better points than i must also agree to the advantages
that recorded shows has to offer such as being to edit the movie to make it more visually
appealing and it being a cheaper source of entertainment. both shows are equally exciting to
watch which is why many people both watch live and recorded performances and not only
recorded performance or live performances.
