Write these notes into your notebook.


Sentences can be a question, a command, or an instruction.
Sometimes a command ends with an exclamation for effect.
Statements provide information.
A question or command can be changed into a statement.
For example: Question - Can you learn to draw a fish?
Statement - You can learn to draw a fish.
Understand the following clearly:
The introduction provides a short summary of the book.
It uses sentences, mainly statements.
The table of contents has headings and uses phrases, key words or
questions
The index has key words.
The above give you examples of how sentences can be summarised.
