B. Development of Lesson
1. Review On the TV screen, the teacher will flash images related to previous lesson. The
(5 minutes) students will analyze and identify which image shows ethnocentrism or cultural
relativism and explain why.

Looking at the above image, you could see how humans physically transformed
through a long biological period. Knowing that primitive humans were different
from modern humans in terms of their physical and biological features, what
processes and environmental events influenced primitive human beings to
transform into the humans we know today? Lat’s find out as we move to the
next activity.

7. Application
(10 minutes) The students will be grouped into 5 or 6. Each group will create a timeline
showing the development of biological evolution of early to modern humans.
V. ASSIGNMENT (5 minutes)
A. Read your handout on Cultural Evolution of Man then answer the
following questions. Write your answer in ½ sheet of intermediate
paper.
What is cultural evolution?
How can we trace the cultural evolution of early to modern
humans?
B. Search for online journals or articles that detail primitive tools that
were used and developed by man. Create a timeline detailing
significant events in the cultural evolutionary process. You could
choose to work in pairs or in groups of three.
