Boss dials number. V takes the phone and puts it on speaker.

V hangs up, drops phone. Pain and distrust in his eyes… Close up on his face. Tears fall
down.

Kills boss

learns from them where J is.

J comes back and look at daughter- she's dead, reached for inhaler.
V goes to J's place but daughter is dead.

METAPHORS
J – lonely... trying to solve a Sudoku puzzle in a newspaper... writes 9 in one of the box,
crosses it off realising that it’s not in the right place... we can see that he has already crossed
off some numbers that he filled, stares at the puzzle - he seems to be lost.
While playing sudoku, J keeps the pen by the side and gives up.
Similarly gives up after long chase with V.

V getting in to bathroom for crying: gets it turns on light. Cries, light flickers.. slowly it turns
off .

BOSS has rotten teeth

Set-up – J is contract killer – lonely life, has midlife crisis, writes a diary before going to
bed, has a crush on female neighbour but can’t confess it to her due to his profession.

Go V goes to friend who takes him to BOSS. Boss asks V to kill 5 men living in an
apartment and take 5 Lakhs for each of their heads. V is initially not sure whether to do
it... Then agrees.

Search V goes to the apartment and kills 5 of them.

Find V comes back to the Boss and gets paid.

Take Boss now asks V to work for him since V did the job well as well as he doesn’t
have any crime records.

Return V refuses and then returns home.

Change V is now a criminal

Need Daughter is kidnapped. J places knife on daughter’s throat... takes her in van. Van
driver is J’s partner. Van reverses and leaves... J runs after the van, tired stops(like
Oldboy 38:55)... V gets call from boss asking V to join them if he wants daughter left
alone. Needs to find where his daughter is.
Search goes to the Boss’s place. Fights his goons (like Oldboy corridor fight- use

Hard Day 56:33, boss runs to the toilet and pushes the door to close it, V pushes in
opposite direction, V opens the door. 1:00:07).

Find Finds out where daughter is... from Boss calling J.

Take daughter is dead. **** Kills boss.

Change V is now a heart-broken father

Need wants to kill V and partner

Search reaches deserted place. Kills partner, weeps over daughter’s death, chases V.

Find catches him and kills

Take no longer can live a peaceful life

Take After a while, V discovers that daughter died since she couldn’t reach her inhaler.

Change hates his actions, redeems. Ready to quit crime.

Cannot find Need 1 Too late because of what he did

Get call from boss. Start van... reach deserted place. Daughter lies dead inside the van.
