2.0 3 ISSUES

1) Products that have halal certified


Mostly, non-Muslim Country do not have halal certified products (hard to eat halal food)

2) Less facilities for Muslim tourists when traveling


To find syariah compliance/Muslim friendly hotel or halal food restaurants

3) Lack of awareness
Travelers/citizens/non-Muslim people that do not know what is halal tourism might
think that it is a limit towards their destination/needs

1. Academic backings: effect of religiosity with customer satisfaction


Muslim tourists will concern with Halal tourism dimensions such as the availability of
Islamic facilities (prayer mate and Qibla direction in the hotel) and Halalness of the
kitchen or Halal foods

- The awareness among Muslim increased to select Halal options for
their needs from the common of options currently offered
- Travel agencies could target Muslim travellers by customizing Halal
tours to Muslim tourists; availability of halal food, an itinerary built

5.0 SOLUTION

1) Standardization of halal food


Standardization of halal food in the form of food certification, restaurants, and cafes.

2)Spread awareness of halal tourism


Increased awareness and knowledge about halal and haram among Muslim
consumers and marketers.

6.0 CONCLUSION

- Muslim-friendly tourism is an emergent mode of tourism development which capitalizes


on the growing world Muslim travellers. It is essentially a niche market positioning
which is intended to encourage reciprocal visits among Muslim countries. In so doing
it facilitates the call for Muslims to travel across the earth in search of knowledge and
awareness of God’s creations.
