Patriotism is the feeling of love, devotion, and sense of attachment to one's country. This attachment
can be a combination of many different feelings, language relating to one's own homeland, including
ethnic, cultural, political or historical aspects.
Patriotism is very important. The feeling must especially be born in the youth of the country so they act
as responsible citizens. Youth is the future of the nation and for the bright future of the country it is
important for them to protect and preserve the nation and act in its best interest to make it outshine.
Patriotism could be defined as the love for the nation to the extent of sacrificing your life for the
betterment of it. A person who supports his or her country and is ready to defend it against enemies is

Studying history helps us understand and grapple with complex questions and dilemmas by examining
how the past has shaped (and continues to shape) global, national, and local relationships between
societies and people.
History also helps provide identity, and this is unquestionably one of the reasons all modern nations
encourage its teaching in some form. Historical data include evidence about how families, groups,
institutions and whole countries were formed and about how they have evolved while retaining
cohesion.
Without history, a society shares no common memory of where it has been, what its core values are, or
what decisions of the past account for present circumstances. Without history, we cannot undertake
any sensible inquiry into the political, social, or moral issues in society.
