    CODE ORANGE : CALL 3333 HAZARDOUS MATERIAL SPILL

    Call 3333

    Announce code orange specifying the location

    Place the caution board at the area of spill

    Alert people in immediate area of spill

    Wear appropriate protective Equipment, including safety Goggles, Gloves , Mask and long
    sleeve Lab Coat

    Avoid breathing vapour’s if it is a chemical spill

    Spray 1% sodium hypochlorite solution over the spill

    Cover the spill with the tissue paper

    Wait for 10 minutes

    Collect residue , Place in a waste disposal red bag and label it

    Clean spill area with soap and water

    Inform the housekeeping in charge to collect the bag

    Fill in the occurrence report.
