MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET

I. GENERAL INFORMATION:

Product Description : Epoxy Solventless Self-Leveling Acid Resistant

Product Code Number : ULTRACOTE 401 HS
Generic Class : Amine-cured Epoxy Coating

General Use and Precautionary Information:

Ultracote 401 HS is an attractive heavy duty, thixotropic epoxy coating primarily intended to pro-
vide protection for surfaces exposed to corrosive atmospheric environments that are to receive a
lower degree of surface preparation. It is recommended for use on interior and exterior of storage
reservoirs and transmission pipelines, food processing facilities, refineries, off-shore drilling plat-
forms, marine service, sewage plants, rail cars, tank trucks, air conditioning equipment, pulp and
paper plants, breweries, mining and chemical industries.

The principal use of Ultracote 401 HS is in problem areas, which require greater film thickness for
reliable protection but are difficult to coat properly. It is also recommended for protection of floors
subjected to severe attack and physical abuse. It is used where high abrasion and impact resistance
in loading areas is required. The principal safety hazard is from excessive inhalation of the vapors.
It is flammable.

II. HAZARDOUS INGREDIENTS:

Direct eye contact may result in eye irritation. Inhalation of vapor concentrations in excess of ex-
posure limits may result in dizziness and headache. Solvents penetrate the skin readily causing irri-
tation during repeated contact. Under normal use and conditions, the products do not pose a haz-
ard.

breathing apparatus.

VI. FIRST AID MEASURES:

Eye Contact : Flush with plenty of low pressure water for 15 minutes, occasional-
ly lifting eye lids. If irritation persists, consult a physician.

lowable exposure limit, wear an approved air purifying mask
suitable for organic vapors and / or particulate.

Protective Gloves: Use chemical resistant gloves suitable for aromatic hydrocarbons.

Eye Protection: Use eye protection (goggles) of splash hazard.

Ventilation: Ensure efficient ventilation in working area at all times.
